IO 1000 EtherCAT S130 coupler with EPM40x sporadically reports inconsistent settings when the EtherCAT master is booted
What happens?
During operation with analog EPM 40x I/O modules, the IO 1000 EtherCAT S130 coupler sporadically reports inconsistent settings (AL status code == 0x26) when the EtherCAT network is booted. The EtherCAT master cannot boot the network and operation with EtherCAT and all slaves connected is not possible.
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if EPM404 or EPM405 modules with non-assigned inputs are operated at the EtherCAT bus coupler.

Diagnostics options?
The EtherCAT master reports the following logbook entry when booting:
EPM_S130_4 (1026): Slaves signals Error. AL Status: 'PRE OPERATIONAL' (0x12), AL Status Code: 'Unknown Text' (0x26)
Short-term measures/recommendations:
Connect the free inputs of the EPM404 or EPM405 modules or deactivate the open-circuit detection via parameter.
