Error message ¨SMC_DI_FIELDBUS_LOST_SYNCRONICITY¨ when using breakpoints (eliminated from 3200 C/p500 V3.6)
Eliminated from: 3200 C, p500 controller V3.6 and higher
Behaviour of the new version:
When program processing is started again after reaching a breakpoint, the synchronicity of the EtherCAT bus remains unchanged. The SoftMotion of the axes does not indicate any error.
What happens? The synchronisation of the EtherCAT bus gets lost. The drives stop. The following error message appears on the SoftMotion tab of the axes: SMC_DI_FIELDBUS_LOST_SYNCRONICITY
When does the problem occur? The above-described response occurs when program processing is started again after reaching a breakpoint.
Which products are concerned? 3200 C, p500 controller V3.5 and higher
Possible diagnostics? None
Short-term measures/recommendations: Acknowledge the error message using the function block MC_Reset.
Evaluation: Breakpoints are used for program analysis when creating programs or in the commissioning phase. Since PLC program processing stops when reaching a breakpoint, it must be ensured that the machine will not be damaged when a SoftMotion node changes to an error state.
