Target position is overrun due to too low jerk setting

What happens?
The programmed target position is overrun.

When does the problem occur?
When the jerk setting is too low, a change in acceleration will take a long time and, as a consequence, the programmed target position may be overrun.

Which products are concerned?
PLC Designer V3.3 or higher

Possible diagnostics:
Check the selected jerk value (see PLC Designer parameter 'fRampJerk' on the 'Softmotion configuration' tab of the drive).

Short-term measures/recommendations:
For safety reasons, the jerk should be selected 1000 times higher than the acceleration.

Example:
Acceleration = 1e4  ==>  jerk  >= 1e7

Assessment:
The drive overtravels the programmed target position because the selected jerk is too low.
