Fixed from: Inverter Drive 8400 TopLine from V17.00.00.00 and 8400 HighLine from V17.00.00.00.
Behavior of the new version:
It will process the correct distance.
The Kompatibilitätsbit C2868/001 Bit05 = 0 can be used to maintain the old behavior.
Which products are affected?
Inverter Drives 8400 HighLine and TopLine with a firmware version 12.xx.xx.xx
What happens?
In the case of an absolute positioning in a modulo measuring system, a path is covered which is longer by one cycle than the path expected.
The path covered during a positioning process to the same target (>= cycle) can be different if there is a controller inhibit status between the positioning processes, since here set position=actual position is set.
When does the problem occur?
In the case of an absolute positioning within a modulo measuring system (C1201/1>0 units) to a target which is equal to or longer than the cycle set.
Diagnostics options?
Comparable positioning processes as shown in the example table can be activated for testing purposes. The positioning characteristic can be recorded in the Engineer oscilloscope on the basis of the set position LS_MotionControlKernel.dnPosSet_p.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Only specify positioning targets that are shorter than the cycle. The behaviour in the previous FW versions turned out to be as expected.
Evaluation:
The distance covered during the positioning is too long by one cycle. The target is met correctly, the drive does not show any uncontrolled movement. An approximate following error monitoring cannot detect the behaviour. Positioning to any targets shorter than the modulo cycle can be carried out without any errors.
