Functional description
The Statebus is a part of the axis bus and can be used as a sort of 'release cord' to transfer the error status in a drive system. The axis bus can solely be used for 8400 TopLine devices.
The Statebus has the following functions:
- I/O Statebus: simple digital I/O data exchange via open collector
- Fail-Statebus: transfer error status of a node via open collector to all other nodes
- Synchronisation of several axes on this bus

Applications
Transferring the error status of an axis in an axis interconnection to all other axes to execute a defined response in all controllers.
Electrical shaft applications where the controllers among each other have to be synchronised (HW synchronisation of the internal time base).
