Eliminated from:
Communication module E94AYCEP Firmware V1.12 in CN mode (Control Node)
Communication module E94AYCEC Firmware V1.12
Which products are affected?
E94AYCEP communication module FW 1.10 in CN mode (Control Node)
E94AYCEC communication module FW 1.10
What happens?
The Powerlink network cannot be started, the Lenze Powerlink Slave module indicates the 'In the slave (CN), the synchronisation cycle from the master (MN) has failed' error (error number 0x8265) and remains in the 'PRE_OP2' state.
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs with bus cycle times larger than 5 ms. In case of bus cycle times of 1, 2 or 5 ms the module can be used without problems.
Possible diagnostics?
If the Lenze Powerlink Slave module generates the 'In the slave (CN), the synchronisation cycle from the master (MN) has failed' error message when being started, the faulty behaviour described before has occurred.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
If possible, use only bus cycles lasting 1, 2 or 5 ms.
Evaluation:
From FW 1.12 onwards the default value of index 0x1C14 has been changed to 100,000 ns which corresponds to the Powerlink specification. As a result, the faulty behaviour described before does not occur any longer. The index defines the max. possible synchronisation tolerance to the Powerlink SoC signal (CN Tolerance interval SoC).
