Faultless support of the ¨Reset Communication¨ CANopen command (eliminated from V2.0 onwards)

Eliminated from:
CANopen bus coupler EPM-S110 Firmware V2.0

Behaviour of the new version?
With firmware version 2.0 of the CAN bus coupler the Reset Communication command, which is transmitted via NMT telegram from a PLC, in now supported without problems.

What happens?
After starting the CANopen network by means of the higher-level PLC there is no PDO communication with the CANopen bus coupler although the coupler has been parameterised correctly.

When does the problem occur?
If a PLC transmits the Reset Communication CAN open command via NMT telegram (ID 0x000, data 0x82xx) when being started the CANopen parameters in the CANopen bus coupler are reset. This also includes the PDO mapping which results from the modules connected. As a result, the CANopen bus coupler does not transmit/read PDOs since the PDO mapping is not longer available.

Which products are affected?
CANopen bus coupler EPM-S110 Firmware V0.1
CANopen bus coupler EPM-S110 Firmware V0.2
CANopen bus coupler EPM-S110 Firmware V1.1

Possible diagnostics?
The CANopen bus coupler does not respond to any PDO telegrams from the PLC nor does it send PDOs with actual values to the PLC.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
If possible deactivate the Reset Communication CANopen command on the PLC.
The PDO mapping is automatically parameterised in the bus coupler after mains switching.
