Behaviour of the new version?
If the drive axis is traversed and a quick stop is triggered via the LS_ManualJogOpenLoop system block, the axis is stopped according to the settings of the quick stop ramp.
In the new firmware version 07.01.06.00, the profile is cancelled at the same time in the LS_ManualOpenLoop system block which is displayed by status output MOL_bActive = FALSE. In the previous version 07.00.30.00, an active quick stop within the LS_ManualOpenLoop system block did not cause the traversing profile to stop. Hence, the MOL_bActive status signal kept its TRUE level.
What happens?
If a quick stop is triggered during activated manual jog in sensorless operation via the LS_ManualJogOpenLoop (MOL) system block, the profile generation in the LS_ManualJogOpenLoop system block is not cancelled – the MOL_bActive status signal keeps its TRUE level by mistake.
The travel profile actually travelled by the drive correctly considers the quick stop request.
When does the problem occur?
The behaviour occurs if the axis is traversed via the LS_ManualJogOpenLoop (MOL) system block and a quick stop is triggered in the process.
Which products are affected?
9400 HighLine SW ≤ V7.0
Possible diagnostics?
The behaviour can be diagnosed when quick stop is activated and during active traversing via the LS_ManualJogOpenLoop system block: Although quick stop is active, status signal MOL_bActive = TRUE, i.e. the system block-internal profile generation remains active although a real quick stop is carried out.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
None.
Evaluation:
The function restriction only affects the MOL_bActive display / status signal for the encoderless manual jog. In practice, the encoderless manual jog is mainly used during commissioning (to check the power wiring) and in case of a feedback system failure. These cases are very rare and special situations, and the function restriction occurs with according frequency.
Moreover, the drive behaviour is not affected. Even if quick stop is activated, the travel profile meets the expectations of the user and stops. The only thing affected is the status display of the LS_ManualJogOpenLoop system block.
