8400 HighLine SW V4.00 onwards
Behaviour of the new version?
The above-named software version rectifies this functional restriction.
Which products are affected?
8400 StateLine SW ≤ V3.01
8400 HighLine SW ≤ V2.01
What happens?
If the automatic DC injection brake is still active in the 'Sensorless Vector Control' (SLVC) operating mode because the set holding time has not yet expired, the motor no longer starts when the Quickstop function is deactivated. The motor controller remains in the magnetisation phase (output frequency= 0 Hz and the motor magnetising current flows).
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if the Quickstop function is active and the holding time of the automatic DC injection brake (C0106) has not yet expired.
Possible diagnostics?
By means of the diagnostic code C0158 bit 13 (cause of controller inhibit 'DCB-IMP'), it is possible to detect whether the holding time of the automatic DC injection brake has expired ('DCB-IMP' = 1) and the device has set pulse inhibit.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Do not cancel the Quickstop function until expiry of the holding time for the automatic DC injection brake
Evaluation:
This behaviour is usually noticed during commissioning and can be rectified in accordance with the recommendations. No critical plant situations occur because the mechanical holding brake, if there is one, remains closed.
