Output signals of the motor controller are not updated if overvoltage occurs (remedied from V4.0 onwards)

Remedied from:
8400 StateLine  SW V4.00 onwards
8400 HighLine   SW V4.00 onwards

Behaviour of the new version?
The above-named software version rectifies this functional restriction.

Which products are affected?
8400 StateLine  SW ≤ V3.01
8400 HighLine   SW ≤ V2.01

What happens?
If the status of the frequency inverter changes to 'Overvoltage' (OU), the following output signals of the 'LS_MotorInterface' system block are not updated correctly and remain at their old values:
  • Output frequency'nMotorFreqAct_a' (L-C00058)
  • Actual torque 'nMotorTorqueAct_a' (L-C00056/2)
  • Speed setpoint 'nEffSpeedSetValue_a' (L-C00050)
  • Actual speed 'nMotorSpeedAct_a' (L-C00051)

As a result, control processes that are derived from the values of these signals cannot be carried out correctly.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if the status of the frequency inverter changes to 'Overvoltage' (OU) or if the pulse inhibit is set for a short time (e.g. due to the 'clamp' limit being reached).

Possible diagnostics?
Observation of the status signals at the 'LS_MotorInterface' system block in the function block editor or observation of the named display codes

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None

Evaluation:
This behaviour can occur during commissioning or during ongoing operation.
