Table positioning - missing or faulty error message when using the software limit position monitoring (remedied from V2.0 onwards)

Remedied from:
8400 HighLine   SW V2.00 onwards

Behaviour of the new version?
The above-named software version rectifies this functional restriction.

Which products are affected?
8400 HighLine   SW ≤ V1.00

What happens?
If a positioning is started in the 'Table positioning' application while the software limit position monitoring is activated and the drive or the target position is outside the software limit positions, the drive stops without indicating an error message.
If the drive is outside the software limit positions and a new home position inside the software limit positions is set by using the 'Set home position' function, an error message is erroneously indicated.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if a positioning whose target is outside the software limit positions is started in the 'Table positioning' application is started while the software limit positions are set. The problem also occurs when the drive is outside the software limit positions.

Possible diagnostics?
Compare the actual/target position with the software limit positions set (L-C01229/1 and 2)

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use the manual operation mode to move the drive back into the travelling range. Do not set target positions outside the software limit positions or do not move the drive outside the software limit positions and start a positioning set or execute homing process from there onwards.

Evaluation:
Monitoring functions are usually checked during commissioning and safety measures are taken in order to avoid property damages. This function restriction can be eliminated by applying the recommendations mentioned before.
