Sporadical transmission of wrong process data (remedied from V1.11)
Remedied from?
Communication modules Profibus E94AYCPM FW 1.11
Behaviour of the new version?
Wrong process data is not transmitted when the basic device sends too many error messages to the module.
Which products are affected?
Communication modules Profibus E94AYCPM FW 1.00, 1.05 and 1.10
What happens?
The process data sent by the module are wrong.
When does the problem occur?
The problem may occur if the module must send many error messages of the standard device (1 error message / ms) as diagnostic data on the Profibus. Lower Profibus baud rates foster this error since the module can transmit less diagnostic data to the Profibus master.
Possible diagnostics?
The transmitted process data words do not comply with the values of the display codes L-C13850 or L-C14850 (display of all process data words to the master).
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Prevent the status in the application that so many error messages occur successively.
Evaluation
The transmission of wrong process data may lead to a maloperation of the system! However, the probability that so many error messages may occur successively is rather small. The error occurred in an application with 2x 9400 (30 kW) in the DC interconnection where many error messages were generated when the system was switched off (undervoltage / overvoltage).
