GDC motor data assistent, data for standard motors delta with ECS not correct (remedied from GDC V4.10)

Remedied from:
ESP-GDC2 (Global Drive Control V4.10)
(with ECS axis modules)

Behaviour of new version?
The motor data for standard motors in delta connection, selected via the GDC motor data assistant, for ECS axis modules are correct now.

Which products are affected?
ESP-GDC2 (Global Drive Control <= V4.9)
(with ECS axis modules)

What happens?
The torque and performance of the drive are reduced.

When does the problem occur?
When the standard motor in delta connection for the ECS axis module is selected via the GDC motor assistant, the motor data for this motor are not correct.

Possible diagnostics?
Compare the values under codes C0084 (stator resistance Rs) and C0085 (leakage inductivity Ls) with the data of the motor used.

You can alternatively check with the help of GDC ≥ V4.10 whether the motor data adjusted in the ECS drive are up-to-date:
- Start GDC (with online connection to the ECS)
- Open the input assistant for motor data
- Click the button 'update' in the left lower area ('information')
- Check the field 'Motor type currently set':
a) Unknown motor type => motor data not up-to-date, please update the data
b) C0086 = xxxx => motor data are up-to-date, no activities required

Short-term measures/recommendations?
1. Enter the motor data for a standard motor in delta connection manually in the code list of the ECS axis module.
2. Update the motor data with GDC ≥ V4.10. When required you can older versions of Global drive control under the category's 'downloads' updating.

Evaluation:
The motor data are not correct when they are selected via the GDC motor assistant. The user must enter the motor data manually.
