Function description
The E82ZAFCC2xx CAN I/O fieldbus function module with DIP switches are supported by the Drive PLC as of software version V7.0.
By means of DIP switches the CAN system bus node address and the baud rate can be selected directly. After 24 V mains connection the DIP switches are read in once by the Drive PLC; the configuration is entered under codes C2450 (system bus node address) and C2451 (system bus baud rate). Changing the DIP switch during operation does not have any consequences!
If the user does not want to specify the node address and baud rate via the DIP switch the position of all DIP switches is to be left unchanged according to the delivery status, i.e. the switches are set to 'OFF'. In this case the values of the parameter set saved (codes C0350 and C0351) are adapted automatically.
The function module is equipped with three additional freely programmable inputs E1, E2 and terminal '28' which are inserted into the Drive PLC Developer Studio project planning software via the PLC configuration and which can be used 'freely'.
Applications
If a device is to be replaced, it is not required to set the node address and baud rate via a software tool or via the keypad. The setting can be made directly via the DIP switch.
