Entering the rated number of pulses

Which products are affected?
ESP-CAM1-P(U) CamDesigner V2.1

How is the reaction?
Perhaps in case of a multi-axis application the rated number of pulses can be modified by means of the CamDesigner, although it is to be preselected only by the CamManager.

When does the problem occur?
The problem can occur, when the CamDesigner is started by means of the Cam Manager (mouse click on the product). In this case the rated number of pulses is to be modified only by means of the CamManager, as the clock pulse refers to all products and to all slave axes. If the settings of the master axes are activated (tab <master>) and the actual number of pulses is modified in the CamDesigner, which has been started by the CamManager, by means of the menu  <Edit> => <Project settings>, the display field for the rated number of pulses is presented at the same time. Here, the rated number of pulses can also be modified.

Possible diagnostics?
The problem can be diagnosed, when the settings of the master axes are activated (tab <master>) and the actual number of pulses is modified in the CamDesigner, which has been started by the CamManager, by means of the menu <Edit> => <Project settings>. The display field for the rated number of pulses is modified to an input field - the rated number of pulses can now be modified (although this is inadmissible).

Short-term measures/recommendations?
You should make sure that the rated number of pulses is modified only in the CamManager (settings for the master axis)

Evaluation:
The behaviour has no influence on the creation of motion profiles. Just the creation of the torque precontrol profile, which is also generated by means of the CamDesigner, depends on the rated number of pulses, so that in this case you should make sure that the value for the rated number of pulses for all products and slave-axes is unique.
