Function description
In the communication profile CANopen (DS301) two optional monitoring mechanisms ('heartbeat' and 'node guarding') are specified for guaranteeing the functionality of system bus participants.
Master function:
A device configured as CAN master is able to monitor the slave participants connected to the CAN bus by using the 'node guarding' function or 'heartbeat' function.
Slave function:
A device configured as heartbeat slave or node guarding slave can be monitored by a heartbeat master or node guarding master.
The monitoring mechanisms are to be set via the LenzeCanDsxDrv.lib function library or under the following codes.
