Two-wire sensor at analog input (as master current)

Question:

How is a passive two-wire sensor connected to the analog input of the inverter 8200vector?

Answer:

a) Internal voltage supply:

The sensor is connected to terminal 20 (20 V) and terminal 8 (Std I/O), 1i, or 2i (Appl I/O).

Please note:
  • Maximum load capacity of terminal 20 = 70 mA (current consumption of a DIGIN = 6.6 mA, DIGOUT = 10 mA)
  • DIP switch or jumper and C0034 must be set to the same range, otherwise the controller will misinterpret the analog input signal.

b) External voltage supply:

The sensor is connected between the plus pole of the external voltage supply and terminal 8, 1i or 2i. The GND (minus pole) of the external voltage supply and the GND of the function module (terminal 7) must be connected.

Please note:
  • DIP switch or jumper and C0034 must be set to the same range, otherwise the controller will misinterpret the analog input signal.
