Parameterising the ASI FIF module with GDC offline

Question:

How can an ASI FIF module be selected when working GDC offline?

Answer:
The ASI FIF module does not have its own GDC device description pdb.
  • In offline configuration the standard I/O must be selected for the ASI FIF
  • In online access the GDC device description is automatically selected for the std. I/O

How is the ASI FIF configured?
  • The data bits to the drive are used like the digital inputs; D0 = E1, D1 = E2, D2 = E3, D3 = E4 (configuration in C0410)
  • The data bits from the drive are used like the digital output; D0 = A1, D1 = power supply of the drive controller (A1 see configuration C0415)
