Feedback system, polarity check

Question:

How can the evaluation of the connected feedback system be examined without any auxiliary means?

Answer:

The current rotor position can be displayed for 9400 servo drives and 9300 servo inverters (technology versions included). For this purpose, please select code C0060 in the keypad, in GDC or in the Engieer. A value between 0 and 2047 will be displayed. Please keep this value in mind.

If the motor shaft is now slowly rated in positive direction (i.e.g. clockwise when looking from the drive end to the motor shaft), the value in code digit C0060 must increase continuously to 2047, then jump back to 0 and increase again. After a complete motor revolution the old value must be displayed again.

Tip: If GDC or the Engineer is used we recommend inserting C00060 into the monitor window. The 'History' representation mode and '2 seconds' for the update interval have proven to be the best choice with regard to the setting.

If this test shows correct results, the evaluation of the feedback system is probably ok.
