Motion control at the highest level

The new i950 DC-Link

Lenze’s servo portfolio combines dynamics, precision, and scalability.
Our servo drives deliver high performance through integrated engineering and the Lenze FAST Application Software, providing a strong foundation for modern and future‑ready machine concepts.

The focus is on the new i950 DC-Link the next evolutionary stage of the i950 servo drive platform for modular drive systems.
Thanks to its integrated DC rail system, high power density, and flexible architecture, it:

  • reduces wiring effort
  • enables compact and efficient multi‑axis applications
  • opens new possibilities for modular machine concepts

The Lenze VFD portfolio with i650 motec highlight

Experience at SPS how much drive there is in Lenze VFDs.

The Lenze portfolio of frequency drives, with a focus on the i650 motec, shows the strong Lenze experience in energy‑efficient and scalable drive solutions. All VFDs share the same basic design and offer maximum installation flexibility: in a cabinet, on a wall, or directly on the motor.

The compact and scalable range fits easily into existing machines and clearly improves energy efficiency. Solutions like the i550 cabinet (IP20) and i550 protec (IP66) are up to 40% smaller, with power ratings from 0.25 to 132 kW, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, including energy‑driven systems such as ventilation, cooling, and thermal processing.

The key product is the i650 motec, the new generation of decentralized drives up to 45 kW. It features an integrated PLC, positioning functions, and an IO‑Link Master, reducing system complexity, wiring effort, and overall costs.

When combined with Lenze motors (IE3, IE5, or IE6) and gearboxes Lenze VFDs deliver high performance and high energy efficiency for reliable, future‑ready machine and system designs.

Dynamics your machine really needs.

Experience how you can achieve servo‑like performance with the Lenze i650 motec frequency drive – energy‑efficient and cost‑effective. Using a lifting application, we show a direct comparison of closed‑loop and sensorless open‑loop control and demonstrate how flexibly machine architectures can be designed. By combining the drive with a new high‑efficiency motor drive system in IE5/IE6 classes, customers benefit from higher dynamics, full torque from zero speed, reduced losses, and a more compact design. The result is high performance with lower hardware effort, maximum energy efficiency, and a sustainable solution ideal for modern machines.

High dynamic inline robotics

Pick & place without cycle interruption

The Delta robot handles pick‑and‑place tasks in sync with moving mechanics, enabled by precise rotary tracking for smooth, uninterrupted operation. FAST Robotics allows robotic functions to be implemented by parameterization instead of programming, significantly reducing engineering and commissioning effort.

An open and scalable system boosts line performance, cycle speed and process reliability in modern packaging machines. The solution is completed by Lenze’s smart servo axis combining servo motors (MCS, m850), drives (i750 cabinet, i550 motec), geared motors (g500) and controls (c550) — for compact, powerful and safe motion. Integrated intelligence reduces sensors, provides IIoT‑ready data and enables faster cycle times with lower system complexity.

Top Performance in Electromechanics & Lenze Selection

Lenze delivers precision, dynamics, and reliability for every application – from simple to complex.
Our comprehensive electromechanical modular system combines motors, gearboxes, drives, and system cables into perfectly matched solutions, covering standard, high‑performance, and energy‑efficient designs.

In combination with decentralized electronics such as i550 and i650 motec, installation effort and cabling are reduced, while investment security is ensured through efficiency classes up to IE6 and a wide range of sizes and ratios.

A central element of the portfolio is the new m650 F asynchronous motor, designed specifically for variable‑speed applications. Compact, robust, and dynamic, it offers a wide speed range and high overload capability in a smaller footprint.

Thanks to decades of experience, Lenze supports customers along the entire mechanical drive train – from belt drives, couplings, brakes, and linear technology to geared motors and torque limiters, delivering the right components and solutions for every machine.
