20 young professionals start their careers at Lenze

Aerzen/Extertal, August 3, 2026. Drive and automation specialist Lenze is welcoming 20 new young professionals at the start of this year's training and education program. Ten apprentices and ten dual-study students are beginning their professional careers across eleven different vocational training and study disciplines. They were selected from a pool of more than 400 applications.

The new apprentices and dual-study students are starting their training or degree programs in a range of fields, including electronics, mechatronics, IT, business administration, business informatics, and digital engineering. With its broad portfolio of vocational training and study programs, Lenze is making a targeted investment in the skilled professionals of tomorrow while strengthening its own talent pipeline in an increasingly challenging labor market.

“Starting a professional career is a significant milestone. I am therefore particularly pleased that 20 young talents have chosen Lenze. They bring fresh perspectives, curiosity, and new ideas, and they will help shape the future of our company,” says Bruno Krauss, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Lenze Group.

A Hands-On Introduction to the World of Work

To support their transition into professional life, the apprentices and dual-study students will take part in a comprehensive onboarding program. In addition to networking activities, a buddy system, and site rallies at Lenze’s locations in Groß Berkel and Extertal, the program also includes a variety of workshops. These cover topics such as health and stress management, as well as a new workshop focused on artificial intelligence (AI).

Another new initiative is a mathematics course designed to assess the incoming apprentices’ and students’ existing knowledge and skill levels. The aim is to tailor training content more closely to individual needs and provide targeted support from the outset.

“This year, we are deliberately focusing on an early introduction to practical work experience. This allows our apprentices and dual-study students to experience and apply many of the concepts they learn directly in their day-to-day work. It makes the transition into professional life easier and helps them build a strong connection with Lenze from the very beginning,” explains Desiree Kutter from Lenze’s Training and Education team.

Vocational Training Remains a Key Pillar of Securing Skilled Talent

Training and developing young professionals has been a high priority at Lenze for many years. Following the initial onboarding period, the apprentices and dual-study students will participate in specialized training courses and assignments across various areas of the company. This gives them the opportunity to gain insight into different aspects of the business and acquire practical experience at an early stage.

“The recruitment and development of young talent is a key success factor for us. By providing high-quality training and attractive development opportunities, we are creating the foundation for the long-term competitiveness and future viability of our company,” says Bruno Krauss, CFO.

The success of this approach is reflected in Lenze’s consistently high retention rate: all graduates from the most recent cohorts received an offer of permanent employment upon completing their training or studies.
