Function Extension:
Using the function block MC_TrackRotaryTable , Lenze is expanding its FAST library in the field of robotic handling. The block is part of the library (L_MC4P_RoboticHandling) for coordinated movements and integrated robotics and supports applications involving rotary tables and pick-and-place processes. This makes it possible to pick up or set down workpieces in sync with a moving rotary table. To do this, after being called, the function block calculates a dynamic Product Coordinate System (PCS), which can then be approached using, for example, an MC_MoveLinearAbsolute command.
