Backplane bus of the controller not running (corrected from V1.7)
Corrected from:
Controller c520 V1.7
Controller c550 V1.7
Controller c750 V1.7
Behavior of the new version:
The backplane bus of the controllers supports a process image size of 1024 bytes.
Description of the behaviour:
The backplane bus of the controller is not running. The following error message is displayed in the controller logbook:
I/O module msg. 103: Not all I/O modules are available (Master queue operation error)
Under what conditions does the behaviour occur?
This behavior occurs when the process image on the backplane bus of the controller exceeds 512 bytes.
Affected products:
Controller c520 from V1.1
Controller c550 fromV1.1
Controller c750 from V1.1
Short-term measures:
Reduce the number of IO modules on the backplane bus and thus reduce the size of the process image. IO modules that can no longer be connected to the backplane bus of the controller can be connected to a fieldbus bus coupler, e.g. EtherCAT bus coupler EPM-S130..
Evaluation/Recommendations:
When connecting IO modules to the backplane bus of the controller, check the resulting process image. If the process image requires more than 512 bytes, this leads to the function restriction described above.
