Error message when calling the GetDeviceState method (CAA Device Diagnosis) (corrected from V3.12)

Corrected from:

3200C controller V3.12
p500 controller V3.12

Profinet MC-PND card

Response of the new version:
The GetDeviceState method can be used to read out the operating status of the PROFINET card (MC-PND).

What happens?

For a 3200C controller operated with MC-PND (PROFINET PCI card), the GetDeviceState method of the CAA Device Diagnosis library is to be used to read out the operating status. The method does, however, always indicate an error, independently of the status of the Profinet card.

When does this behaviour occur?

The GetDeviceState method is not supported.

Which products are affected?

3200C controller V3.6 and higher
p500 controller V3.6 and higher

Profinet MC-PND card

Short-term measures:

None

Evaluation/recommendations:

The status of the Profinet card (MC-PND) inserted into the controller cannot be evaluated in the PLC program.
