Touch probe storage (Pos-Latch) - Touch probe position sporadically incorrect (eliminated from V4.0)

Eliminated from:
ECS Motion V4.0

Behaviour of the new version?
The touch probe storage function (Pos-Latch) is working correctly now. If a touch probe edge occurs the touch probe position is always saved correctly and sent via the monitor data.

What happens?
The touch probe storage function (Pos-Latch) is not carried out correctly and an incorrect touch probe position is sent to the higher-level control (monitor data (Word2)).

When des the problem occur?
The problem occurs sporadically when the touch probe storage function is used.
The problem only occurs sporadically and cannot be predicted by the user due to the dependency of the time behaviour of the task in the internal multitasking system. We found out that the inconsistent transfer for control information between two tasks has caused the problem.
Based on the length of the 'critical' time slot related to the task cycle time a probability of occurrence of approx 1/5000 can be estimated.

Which products are affected?
ECS Motion <= V3.0

Possible diagnostics?
The touch probe position of the previously executed touch probe storage is transmitted.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use the new ECS Motion V4.0.

Evaluation:
The touch probe storage function can only be used reliably with the new ECS Motion version V4.0.
