Behaviour of the new version?
Queued fault messages from the previously active application are reset when a new application is downloaded.
Which products are affected?
ECS Application OPERATING SYSTEM <= V8.0
What happens?
Unexpected fault message. After an application has been downloaded, system variable 'DCTRL_bFail_b' is set and the fault code under C0168/0 is equal to '0', or displays an application error (> x400).
When does the problem occur?
After downloading a project, if a fault message for the previously active application has been queued while the L_FWM() function was in use.
Diagnostics options?
Fault message occurs immediately after downloading a project.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Reset queued fault messages before commencing a download (fault reset).
The pending fault message can be reset by means of mains switching.
Evaluation:
The problem usually occurs during commissioning.
