Function extension:
The 'Shutdown' positioning application (C0005 = 3000) enables speed-controlled traversing as far as a shutdown sensor (e. g. a limit switch) where the machine then stops as precisely as possible. There is no position feedback and no advance distance calculation of any kind. The achievable precision depends on various factors such as speed, deceleration ramps etc.
If a sufficient number of digital inputs on the frequency inverter are free, advance switch-off (creep speed) can also be implemented.
Applications
Control of sliding gates or conveying systems, or simple positioning controlled with switches.
