How much memory needs a CNC program, when it was written via ETC-MMI in the program memory?
Answer:
In general the NC program needs more memory than on the hard disk. The reason is, that the program is save in a precompiled form to accelerate the execution time. Unfortunately you can not calculate from the size of the source code the size of the compilated programm. The ratio depends on the complexity and number of comments (can be eliminated) about the factor 1 to 4 (in average approx. 2).
