Function description
Applications with sine/cosine absolute value encoders as a feedback system (e. g.: Sick| Stegmann SCS / SCM 60/70) can – due to EMC interferences on the encoder cable – lead to unintended activation of the encoder monitoring with the error SD8-trip.
A software side filter has been implemented in order to mask out occurring interferences signals.
Use code C0575 to determine a filter time the interference must exist before an SD8-trip is activated.
Note:
Generally, we recommend that the EMC measures given in the operating instructions shall be taken, e. g. sufficient screening and PE connection, before the later filtering is activated via the software. The filtering via C0575 can eliminate the symptoms only, not the cause.
