ESP-CAM1-P, ESP-CAM1-PU (CamDesigner Basic / Professional V2.3)
Function description
Thanks to the CamDesigner V2.3 up to four segment limits can be inserted in order to divide the cam profile in up to five sections. Thus sections can be generated similar to the GDC cam editor method.
A segment limit is inserted via the menu item
Draw → Segment limit. The segment limit features can be set/changed via features (can be selected via the context menu by clicking with the right mouse button on the Segment limit object). The number of all segments points summed up results in the total number of points of the motion profile. If segment limits are used, the total number of motion profile points results from the number of points of every single segment summed up. The position markers which have so far been interpreted as segment limits no longer influence the section generation process.
Applications
Segment limits are used if
- the function block outputs CDATA-SEC1, CDATA-SEC2, CDATA-SEC3, CDATA-SEC4 and CDATA-SEC5 have to be used in the relative data model and the 9300EK servo controller.
- in the absolute data model the point distribution is to be defined in sections. A certain number of points can be defined for every section. The points inside this section can be distributed equidistantly or optimal.
