Point-to-point controls

Term of the numerical control technology (NC-, CNC-technology).
Point-to-point controls enable rapid positioning and relative movements with parallel axes between tool and workpiece with programmable speed. Only one axis is operated. Point-to-point controls are used in simple milling and turning machines as well as in planing machines.
