Low-power single-phase synchronous motors for fine mechanical drives and very high speeds. Hysteresis motors are equipped with a rotor made of magnetically hard material. The torque is generated from the hysteresis forces. Hysteresis motors start smoothly and easily and feature a synchronous behaviour within a certain load range.
