If DCOM settings which are described in the DriveServer documentation are made, problems do no longer occur in GDC when using the ActiveX dialogs (motor data assistant, commissioning assistant and FIF fieldbus monitor dialog).

What happens?
If DCOM settings which are described in the DriveServer documentation are made, problems arise in GDC when using ActiveX dialogs (motor data assistant, commissioning assistant and FIF fieldbus motor dialog).
The connection between ActiveX dialogs and GDC is based on OPC technology.
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs when using the commissioning assistant, motor data assistant or the FIF fieldbus motor dialog which are connected to GDC via OPC interface.
Possible diagnostics?
If the assistants are not started, this may indicate that the error described above has occurred.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use GDC 4.7 or GDC easy 4.7.
