Function description:
The EMZ2221IB AIF module (HW 1A / SW 10) is supported by operating system version 6.5. The Card Download Module is a backup device saves and transfers complete data sets - consisting of parameters, programs and additional application data - of the target systems Servo PLC, Drive PLC and ECS. An exchangeable memory card (SmartMedia card) which can save up to 16 data sets, serves as storage medium.

Applications:
If service is required all relevant data can be transferred from the failed device to the Card Download Module and then on to the device replacing the faulty one. The replacement device can then be commissioned. The 'upload' does not require a PC.
