How is the reaction?
The problem occurs in case of an online connection to the target system.
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs, when the operating system Windows 98 is installed to the PC. Under Windows 98 a connection to the target devices cannot be established with CamDesigner Professional / CamManager, because CamManager / CamDesigner Professional use the DriveServer as communication interface. The function of the DriveServer in connection with CamManager / CamDesigner is not available under Windows 98.
Possible diagnostics?
In the online mode cam data (LC9 file) cannot be loaded to the ServoPLC, when the DriveServer is used in connection with the operating system Windows 98.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
A download of the cam data can alternatively be executed by means of a complete project download via DDS.
Evaluation:
Under Windows 98 the online cam download per CamDesigner cannot be used. The cam download is to be effected by DDS together with a project download.
