Number of pole pairs of the resolver p > 1

Question:

Can resolvers with a number of pole pairs > 1 be evaluated at the compact servo?

Answer:

The compact servo offers the possibility to apply resolvers with a number of pole pairs > 1 for feedback. There is, however, the restriction that the relation motor number of pole pairs / resolver number of pole pairs is supposed to be integer. Relations like 3/2 are not possible.
