Pulse generator

Question:
For various purposes (e. g. reset of integrators, counters, etc.) you need a pulse generator with an adjustable pulse/pause ratio. How do you create such a pulse generator?

Answer for 9300:
You can use a delay element DIGDEL1 and a digital NOT1 element to create a pulse generator. For this, connect the output of DIGDEL1 via the NOT1 element back to the input of DIGDEL1. The pulse signal can be picked up at the output of NOT1.

The function of DIGDEL1 (C0720) must be set to ON delay, when the 1-ms pulse is picked up at the output of NOT1. The pause duration can be set under C0721.

Answer for 9400:
The function block L_TbOscillator is available for the pulse generator function. The pulse/pause times can be separately selected between 0.001 and 60.000 seconds.
