CiA402: State machine is stuck in "switch on disabled"

Fixed as of:

4.7.0.13

Behavior of the new version:

The drive switches to the “ready to switch on” state.

Description of the behavior:

Compared to i550cabinet or i550protec, the iSM remains in the “switch on disabled” state instead of returning to the “ready to switch on” state. There are some off-the-shelf PLC blocks from manufacturers (e.g., the NC axis from Beckhoff) that expect the “ready to switch on” state and do not send a new transition command. As a result, the drive or the application freezes and cannot recover on its own.

Conditions under which this behavior occurs:

As soon as the fieldbus control word in CiA mode (0x6060 = 2) remains unchanged, but a fault is triggered or the supply voltage (24V control voltage still active) is turned off and then back on.

Affected products:

ISM (iSeriesMotec) fieldbus communication

Short-term measures, recommendations, assessment:

Manually trigger the state change or write a program routine to do so.
