230V devices: thresholds for under- and overvoltage of DC voltage not suitable for 230V mains (corrected from V01.04.02)

Corrected from:
Servo inverter i950 FW:  from V01.04.02.1546

Response of the new version:
When loading the default values, the LU and OU warning thresholds are overwritten with the correct values for the 230V devices.
  • Warning threshold undervoltage: 175 VDC
  • Warning threshold overvoltage: 397 VDC

What happens?
With a 230V mains supply, the norminal DC voltage in the intermediate circuit is 325 VDC. This value is below the undervoltage warning threshold in the default setting and the undervoltage warning message is output immediately.
Due to the pending warning, the drive cannot be moved using the manual operation function in the EASY starter.
In addition, the error threshold of the overvoltage monitoring (display under 0x2540:6) is automatically limited for the 230V device to suit the 230V device.
However, the overvoltage waring threshold (0x2540:5), which can be set by user, remains set at the too high deafult value for a 400V network. This waring threshold therefore has no practical use as prewarning level.

When does the behaviour oocur?
i950 230V devices in default setting.
The user adjustable warning threshold for under- and overvoltage contain the values for a 400V device by default:
  • warning threshold undervoltage 0x2540:2 = 430 VDC
  • warning threshold overvoltage 0x2540:5 = 795 VDC
These settings are available after switching on the device or after loading the factory settings via the device command 0x2022:1 "Load default settings".

Betroffene Produkte:
Servo inverter i950 FW, 230V devices only

Short-term measures, Evaluation/Recommendations:
Manually parameterize the voltage thresholds for undervoltage and overvoltage to match the mains voltage.
