Corrected from:
- Inverter Drives 8400 HighLine V16.00.00
- Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine V16.00.00
Response of the new version:
The software limit positions are also effective if the difference between positive and negative limit position is lower than 32768inc.
What happens? The software limit position monitoring does not respond as expected. During manual jog, the drive e.g. does not stop, as expected, at the limit positions, but continuously traverses.
When does this behaviour occur?
The behaviour occurs if the difference between positive and negative SW limit position is lower than 32768inc.
Which products are affected?
- Inverter Drives 8400 HighLine < V16.00.00
- Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine < V16.00.00
Short-term measures:
The negative SW limit position C1229/2 must be lower than the positive SW limit position C1229/1. The difference C1229/1-C1229/2 must be > 32767inc.
Evaluation/recommendations:
The probability of occurrence is very low because the travel ranges are in general higher than 32768inc. Since the effectiveness of the limit position monitoring is checked during commissioning, the behaviour will be reliably detected.
