Eliminated from:
CANopen bus coupler EPM-S110 Firmware V0.2
Behaviour of the new version?
With the new firmware version 0.2 the optimised byte length is loaded in the PDO even if the default setting has been loaded.
What happens?
If the default setting is loaded via CANopen index I-1011 (Restore) all PDOS are configured with a user data length of 8 bytes afterwards and not with an optimised byte length as it was the case before.
When does the problem occur?
The behaviour occurs when the default setting is loaded via CANopen index 1-1011. The optimised PDO length function can be used for reducing the bus load.
Which products are affected?
CANopen bus coupler EPM-S110 Firmware V0.1 with digital I/O modules only.
Possible diagnostics?
The behaviour has occurred if after loading the default setting via CANopen index I-1011 the PDO byte length differs from the byte length before loading the default setting.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
The optimised user data lengths of the PDOs can be re-activated via CANopen index I-2100.
