No project download after program has been deleted via C0002 = 34 (remedied from V7.0)

Eliminated from:
9400 HighLine SW V7.0

Behaviour of the new version?
If the current program has been deleted via device command C0002 = 34 and the L-force Engineer is then used to go online again, the L-force Engineer detects this status and requests that the project be downloaded again.

Description of the problem
Despite the program being deleted, the L-force Engineer does not detect any change on the drive axis and immediately goes from offline to online operation with the drive axis concerned, without performing the download again.

When does the problem occur?
The behaviour occurs if the program (application) on the drive axis has been changed (e.g. deleted via device command C0002 = 34) and the L-force Engineer is then used to go online again.

Which products are affected?
9400 HighLine SW ≤ V5.1

Diagnostics options?
The behaviour can be diagnosed if the program (application) on the drive axis has been deleted via device command C0002 = 34 and the L-force Engineer does not request a download due to the program modification when it subsequently goes online.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Proceed as follows to force the project to be downloaded again:
  • With the L-force Engineer offline, highlight the drive axis concerned.
  • Select the menu item Tools => Build project ....
  • In the dialog that then appears, select the Rebuild all checkbox.
  • Click 'Create' to compile the project again.
  • Now go online again with the drive axis – L-force Engineer automatically goes to the Download dialog so that the download can be carried out again.

Evaluation:
In practice this behaviour is of no significance, as it is never usually necessary to delete a program via device command C0002 = 34. The download procedure can be performed again using L-force Engineer by implementing the action stated under Short-term measures/recommendations.
