Which products are affected?
ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer V1.7)
What happens?
If in a process data telegram (PDO) more than one bit is addressed to via the direct command, any bits which are not at all influenced via the direct command, can be set inside the PDO.
When does the problem occur?
The response described before can be observed if the keypad accesses a system bus device via a parameter channel (SDO) and this device acknowledges the access with several telegrams (SDOs).
The function restriction does not occur if in the PDO only one bit is addressed to via direct command.
Possible diagnostics?
None.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use a SDO instead of A PDO in order to access more than one bit via direct command.
Evaluation:
The keypad changes data in the process data telegram although these are not influenced by direct commands. This may happen if a system bus device responses to a SDO telegram of the keypad with several SDO telegrams. Principally, the system bus device is only allowed to respond with one SDO telegram.
