The Drive PLC indicates a PR6 trip when a project has been downloaded (elimination)

Which products are affected?
EPL-10200 EI (Drive PLC V8.2)
EPL-10200 ET (Drive PLC V8.2 with technology function)

Eliminated function restriction:
In the DDS project, user codes up to a size of 800 bytes can be created. The Drive PLC does not indicate a PR6 trip if such a project is downloaded.

Which products are affected?
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC V8.1)

What happens?
The Drive PLC indicates a PR6 trip (= too many user codes) when a project has been downloaded. Error number 80 is displayed under code C0168/1.

When does the problem occur?
The response described above occurs if more than 797 bytes are used for user codes in the project.

Possible diagnostics?
When a project has been compiled (menu item: Project>Compile all) the memory used for user codes is indicated in the message window by the Drive PLC Developer Studio (see parameter size).

Short-term measures/recommendations?
  • Define user codes, which are exclusively used for displaying a value (i.e. whose values do not have to be saved in a mode protecting against mains failure), in the instance parameter manager as display codes (read access).

  • Contact the Lenze Service (Phone: 008000 24 46877).
Evaluation:
In Drive PLC V8.1 it is only possible to use 797 bytes for user codes instead of 800 bytes. Regarding this aspect, Drive PLC V8.1 is not compatible with previous versions.
