Keypad password also inhibits CAN-AUX and FIF-CAN (elimination)

Eliminated function restriction:
Codes can be accessed via FIF-CAN even if the keypad password is active.

EPL-10200 (Drive PLC V7.1 and lower) 

What happens?
It may happen that the access to codes via FIF-CAN in case of the Drive PLC is refused.

When does the problem occur?
The response described before occurs if the keypad password (code C0094) is active.

Possible diagnostics?
Check if the keypad password is active, e. g. by writing code C0094 with 0. If an error message is indicated the password protection is active.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
  • Deactivate the keypad password.
  • Access the codes via the onboard system bus interface (X5 in case of the Drive PLC).

Evaluation:
The function restriction occurs if the keypad password is active and the codes are accessed via FIF-CAN in case of the Drive PLC.
