What happens?
- The OH7 motor temperature monitoring does not work.
- The status bits MONIT-OH3 and MONIT-OH7 are not switched.
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if the permanent motor temperature monitoring (OH3 monitoring) is deactivated via code C0583 = 3. When the OH3 monitoring is switched off the thermal sensor is no longer evaluated and the motor temperature is internally permanently set to 0 °C.
Possible diagnostics?
The motor temperature indicated under C0063 shows a value of 0 °C although the motor is obviously warmer / colder.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
If a thermal sensor is available do not deactivate the OH3-/OH7 monitoring (C0583 = 0) in order to ensure that the motor temperature is correctly determined.
Evaluation:
The function restriction has practically no consequences. It only occurs if temperature monitoring is switched off although a motor temperature sensor is connected. Usually, the motor temperature monitoring is always active if a motor temperature sensor is connected.
