Behaviour of the new version?
The oscilloscope function in GDC can be used without restrictions. The ring buffer can be read out correctly without causing an abortion of the GDC parameter setting software.
Which products are affected?
GDC V4.10 (the oscilloscope function is only available in GDC and not implemented in GDCeasy)
What happens?
If the ring buffer is read out after the oscilloscope reading process, GDC is aborted and the following message is indicated:
Lenze GDC has encountered a problem and must needs to close.
When does the problem occur?
The function restriction only occurs if the 'Oscilloscope control' window is closed before the measurement is completed. The early closing of the window results in the abortion of the GDC program while the ring buffer is read out.
Possible diagnostics?
Check at what point of time you close the 'Oscilloscope control' window.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
If the oscilloscope measurement is started the 'Oscilloscope control' window must not be closed before the measurement has been completed.
Evaluation:
In case of an error, the abortion of the GDC program has no influence on the drive connected. Moreover, the measurement can be completed correctly if the 'Oscilloscope control' window is not closed before the measurement has been completed.
