If errors of the message or warning type occur several times, the error remains active even if the causes of the malfunction have been removed (remedied from B-SW V7.0)

Remedied from:
ECS axis module ECSxx series, operating software V7.0

Behaviour of new version?
The Servo PLC signals an error of the message or warning type in code C0168/1. As expected, the error message remains can be reset via C0043 'Trip Reset'.

Which products are affected?
EVS9300-EI (Servo PLC EI from FW 1.0)
EVS9300-ET (Servo PLC ET from FW 1.0)
ECS axis module ECSxA firmware V6.7

What happens?
The Servo PLC signals an error of the message or warning type in code C0168/1. The error message remains active even if the cause of malfunction has been removed and cannot be reset using code C0043 'Trip Reset'.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if there are several errors of the message or warning type. It occurs if the operating system has already received an error of the message or warning type at the time when an instance of the L_FWM stores an error of the same or a lower type (a message is a higher type of error than a warning).
E. g. warning: There already is an active warning in the operating system and the L_FWM function block tries to trigger another warning.
E. g. message: The problem also occurs if there already is an active message in the operating system and the L_FWM tries to trigger a message or warning.

Possible diagnostics?
The error remains active even if the cause of malfunction has been removed and the error been reset using code C0043.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
The user can evaluate the status word before the L_FWM is triggered with errors of the message or warning type. He can thus prevent it from triggering a message or warning several times.

Evaluation
The user can prevent this failure by taking measures in the PLC program.
