Which products are affected?
ESP-HMI1-P (HMI Designer V1.6 and higher)
What happens?
The scaling of a variable can be defined by means of the field Linear correction in the project component Variables.
When printing an HMI project (Project Manager: menu item Tools>Print) the Linear correction is not printed for some variables.
When does the problem occur?
The Linear correction is specified by four values: Minimum and maximum value of the keypad and minimum and maximum value of the device (controller). If the variable is indicated with a sign (Register: General, check box -> Signed selected) these four values can also be negative.
The Linear correction of the variable is not printed if either the minimum value or the maximum value of the keypad is negative.
Possible diagnostics?
Check the minimum value and the maximum value of the keypad in the field Linear correction under the register Limit values of the project component Variables.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Set the minimum value and the maximum value of the keypad to positive values when specifying the Linear correction.
Evaluation:
When printing variables used in the HMI Project, the Linear correction (scaling) of the variables is not printed if some of the Linear correction values are negative. The function restriction can be avoided by applying the recommendation mentioned above.
