Function description
The data memory capacity provided for the user for variables not protected against mains failure (PLC RAM) has been extended to 24 kbytes.
The data memory is provided with 8 kbytes in each of the three sectors.
It is not possible to create continuous variables larger than 8 kbytes (which could for instance be the case when using Arrays).
E.g. max. declaration: a_byTestArray: ARRAY[1..8192] OF BYTE;
The assignment of variables to one of the sectors is determined by the compiler.
Applications
Since the size of the data memory cannot be scaled in case of the Drive PLC and since in individual applications the previous data memory has been exhausted, this function extension represents a large benefit for the user.
